God's New Millennium
It's a new Millennium ...
Have
you made plans for the future?
What do you hope to do in the 21st century?
God
gives us a chance, by reading his word,
to make plans not just for the future but for eternity.
It is 2000 years since Jesus came to this earth for the first time. When he ascended into heaven a message was left with those who watched:
Suddenly two men in white stood beside them. "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." Acts 1 v.10,11 |
Clearly one of the things we should be looking for is the return of Jesus Christ to this earth.
What for? I hear you say.
See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him. Jude v.14,15 |
Judgement
that's what
for.
Is that
all?
Well, no - there's to be everlasting peace too!
He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war any more. Isaiah 2 v.4,5 |
If I want
to be part of this
What should I do?
No-one knows about that day or hour,
not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be
on guard, be alert, you do not know when that time will come. It's like
a man going away. He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge,
each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back - whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the cock crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone, Watch! Mark 13:32-37 |
Are
you watching?
Are
you ready?

Why
should I believe.
